Good Morning!

I hope the week has been good to you so far.  Beth and I are in the midst of starting our new side venture,  a coffee stand selling local Blue Star coffee and low-carb, sugar free baked goods from a local source.  The equipment is all ordered, the suppliers negotiated with, and permits gotten.  Now we just have to go out and get after it at the local markets.  If all things go smoothly, we should be selling by July 27th.

Beth came up with a fantastic name : Manifest Coffee.  A name like that represents basically all of our principals under one (admittedly woo sounding) name.

I often talk about healthy mindsets and habits with you all, as it is a key part of my training program.  A couple weeks ago I talked about the things you do today dictating the person you will be tomorrow.  This is true on a practical level.  Our brains are wired to make habits out of things.  If you do something enough, whether it is healthy or unhealthy, it will become a habit and therefore you will be doing it tomorrow.

Too manifest something is to look at that same concept from the opposite side of the coin.  People in the self-help space often use this term to inspire us to picture our ideal life or self.  You try and picture your goals as clearly as possible, whether it be related to money, health, or relationship.  Live in that vision enough, and you will begin to think it is more and more possible.

You could stop there.  You could just picture the life you want and hope that it seeps into your unconscious.  You could hope that you begin to make choices that lead you towards that goal.  I like the more direct route.

To start, you must picture those goals as clearly as possible.  You imagine every little detail of what it would be like to live that life.  For example, you wish you had a career where you were your own boss.  You imagine what a day in that life would look like.  Getting up in the morning and having the time to get a workout in,  doing some work in your home office before breakfast,  having the bulk of your work done by noon so that you’re have time to manage the land and animals you raise for food.  You are able to live a low impact life where you provide for yourself, and have time to devote to your friends and family. You have the time to develop and practice your art,  and then play some meaningful gigs at night…….  (this sounds eerily like my dream life).

Instead of stopping there, keep going.  Start consciously taking the steps to lead you toward that life you so desperately want.  Don’t just manifest it in your mind.  Manifest it into reality.  Start that side hustle.  Start getting your body and mind into shape to adequately handle the responsibility of starting a business and still maintaine your current responsibilities.  Thats what real manifesting is: first you dream it, then you live it.

I hope that pep talk gets you to take some risks today.  I meet way to many people that are simply scared of stepping out of the comfort of their current habits.

You only get one shot, so fight the good fight.

Have a great week everyone,
Elliot and Beth
